Sign up by July 2, 2026 in order to use the payment plan option. Payments must be completed in full before the training in order to participate. Incomplete payment plans will not be refunded.

A refund is available if a participant withdraws from the course at least 14 calendar days prior to the scheduled start date. Any approved refund will be issued minus a non-refundable administrative fee of USD $75.

If a refund request is made fewer than 14 calendar days before the course start date, no refund will be issued.

A system of ethical principles will help you answer that question and guide you when complex considerations arise. Whether you are a counseling astrologer, a researcher, a content producer, or an enthusiast, understanding ethics enables you to practice astrology responsibly.

The Ethics Awareness course is the cornerstone of CAPISAR’s certification program. Based on ISAR's Ethical Standards and Guidelines, it prepares you to practice astrology with a solid understanding of your ethical obligations and aligns our field’s standards with those of other professions.

The Three Components of Ethics Training

  • Online Learning Modules

    The online training modules help provide a foundation in ethics and the unique issues confronting our profession. You’ll also learn tools for self-examination and ethical inquiry. The online modules require from three to five hours and must be completed before attending the live training and discussion.

  • Live Training & Discussion

    In this component of the training, you’ll work with the trainers and other participants to wrangle with ethical questions in real time. Bring your questions, a sense of humility, and a healthy dose of curiosity.

  • Ethics Exam

    Once you’ve completed the first two components, you're ready to take CAPISAR’s Ethics Exam and earn your certificate in ethics awareness from CAPISAR. This hour-long, true/false and multiple-choice exam will be given directly after the live training.

Tara Aal

Tara Aal is an eclectic astrologer and artist from Seattle who loves weaving art and soul through pretty much everything she does. She began her practice in 2011 and consults, teaches, facilitates, and speaks (including the Living Astrologies Conference, NORWAC, UAC, and Kepler College). Tara’s also the co-author of Astrology by Moonlight. As an IFS therapy-informed astrologer, her focus is embodied, relational, imaginal, experiential astrology that helps us open to and deepen our relationships with ourselves and each other. Tara has carried a passion for ethics from her 22 years in healthcare compliance into astrology.
